The easy-to-peel Ori is a hybrid of the Temple and Dancy . The flavor is very sweet with low acidity to give a fine well balanced flavor. The segments are tender, juicy, and often virtually seedless. Developed at Israel’s world famous Vulcani Institute, the bright orange Ori ripens from February to May and has a particularly long shelf life. The ORI is Israel's flag bearer of the easy peeler varieties and it is accepted to the extent that, currently, quantities available in Israel are not enough to meet the demand.
